On 22 December we got back on the road again. We drove through the southeastern coast called the Caitlins. It's beautifully rugged with rolling hills.
When we got to Dunedin we found the Top 10 and got a cabin for the night. Tom was tired and under the weather.
While in Dunedin we toured the Cadbury Factory and came out with goodie bags filled with various confectionery bars. The tour guides gave us a few extras since they were closing for the Christmas holiday which meant that the machines were no longer running.
We drove up the world's steepest street, Baldwin Street. Tom drove down in low gear. We even saw a cyclist riding up the street in a zig-zag pattern.
The train station is a landmark you can't miss and we took a few photos of it.
We drove on the Otago Peninsula towards the bird colonies at the end of it. Unfortunately the bird colonies were fenced off and the admission seemed steep to us. We stopped for a coffee and then headed back towards town.
