Tuesday

Today is the last day of our vacation. We have packed our bags and are ready for the taxi to pick us up. Chris and Dennis are over at a park and I am writing out last blog entry while in Oz.
I can truly say that Australia has been amazing! We have had a great time, met some great people, and seen some great sights. I was talking about what we have done last night with our Sydney hostess Monica. We have:

Snorkeled on the great barrier reef
Took a cable car above the rain forest
Took a scenic train through Baron Gorge
Pet Kangaroo's
Got lost in a Giant Maze
Seen the Australia Zoo and the infamous Crocodile Show!
Swam in the Tasman Sea.
Made Sand Castles too numerous to count
Seen a glorious Light House
Watched the Sun Rise over Australia
Went to a water park
Pet a Dolphin and a Seal
Rode Camels
Toured the Powerhouse Museum
Climbed the Sydney Bridge (oh my we really did that!)
Walked around Darling Harbour
Taken multiple boats on Sydney Harbour
Got up close to the famous Opera house
Explored Downtown Sydney
Went to an Amusement Park
Wandered around Manly Beach

And today we went to the Australian Maritime Museum here in Sydney.

It has a wonderful tribute to the USA exploring the ties that bind the two countries from the 1700's through to today. We also were able to get onto decommissioned post WWII class Destroyer and Submarine.

It was a good day, however it is sad day in that we are leaving. As much as I love New Zealand and our adopted city of Wellington there is something about being on vacation ...
